The Professional Standards for Australian Career Development Practitioners provide a framework for reviewing our commitment to ethical and inclusive career development practices.

When reflecting about the diversity of clients served by career development practitioners, it is important to consider how people are positioned in society, how their identities are related to their career concerns and the types of interventions that clients consider to be meaningful.

Professor Nancy Arthur recently transitioned from the University of Calgary in Canada to the University of South Australia in the role of Dean: Research and Innovation for the Division of Education, Arts, and Social Sciences. Nancy currently serves as a Vice-President for the International Association of Educational and Vocational Guidance and led the revision of the IAEVG Ethical Standards. During the past year, Nancy co-edited three books, including Contemporary Theories of Career Development: International Perspectives (Routledge), Career Theories and Models that Work: Ideas for Practice (CERIC) and Counselling in Cultural Context: Identities and Social Justice (Springer).
