New Membership Application Form

This official Application Form is for qualified Rehabilitation Counsellors and students looking to join the RCAA for the first time.

You need to upload supporting documents at the bottom of this form. We accept pdf, jpg, jpeg, gif or png file formats.


  1. Complete and submit this Application Form. Your will receive an acknowledgement by email.
  2. Pay one-time, non-refundable $75 fee (students are exempt).
  3. Wait for approval by email, then pay your RCAA membership fee (student membership is free).
  4. Receive (email) security codes and official paperwork from RCAA. Your RCAA invoice, RCAA receipt, and/or RCAA Membership Certificate will be emailed to you.

Full Membership year is from 1 July to 30 June.

Student Membership year is from 1 January to 31 December to coincide with the academic year.

FULL MEMBERSHIP requires the completion of an RCAA approved tertiary qualification in rehabilitation counselling (with specific content). Please provide a certified copy of a relevant academic transcript clearly indicating the program of study and results.

STUDENT MEMBERSHIP requires the applicant to be currently undertaking study towards a tertiary qualification in rehabilitation counselling or related field. Please provide evidence of current enrolment. For example, a letter from the program convenor or your latest official academic transcript.


Privacy Clause 1. Please read the following Privacy Clause and choose whether or not to accept: RCAA will allow its Corporate Partners access to members’ preferred mailing address unless otherwise stated.

Conduct Question 1. Have you ever been, or are you in the process of being investigated by a complaints, standards or professional conduct committee?

Conduct Question 3. Have you ever been refused membership or had membership cancelled by another professional body?


Please provide any documentation that supports your application. The following file formats are accepted: pdf, jpg, jpeg, gif or png. Students need to provide a copy of their latest official academic transcript (pdf) - this is a minimum requirement.

If you also wish to provide a separate statement/comment then we suggest you upload that as a separate pdf file. This is optional.

Interpreting error messages.

If you receive a message to "Please correct the error(s) above", then simply go through the form and correct the highlighted field(s).

If you receive a message "Files of this type cannot be uploaded " this means you have selected a file for uploading that does not meet the format requirements. We only accept pdf, jpg, jpeg, gif or png files. To delete the offending file, click on the 'Choose file' field again and in the resulting browse mode select 'open' another file with the correct format. If you want to leave the 'Choose file' field blank (that is, just deleting the offending file) then click on 'cancel' while in the browse mode. If you do not eliminate the offending file you will not be able to successfully submit the Application Form.


Important Information

New Members

Please complete the membership application form to submit an application. Also ensure that you include a one-time non-refundable payment of $AUD75.00 (for full membership applications) payable through the PayPal Payment Gateway (under the membership tab on the navigation bar). There is no cost to students - student membership is free.

When your application has been received you will receive a confirmation email. Your application for membership will be automatically sent to admin@rcaa.org.au for consideration by the RCAA Board of Directors.

Once your application has been approved, you will receive an email requesting you make payment of your annual RCAA membership fee through PayPal.

Once your payment has been processed, you will be issued with a username (email address) and password (computer generated). You can update your personal data profile at any time inside the members only area. That includes changing your password.
