The Constitution of the RCAA states that full members “must possess a tertiary qualification in Rehabilitation Counselling from an accredited degree program at an institution recognised by the Association”. In this context RCAA guidelines are consistent with other professional associations where a specific qualification is required for full membership.

We accept members from other Rehabilitation Counselling degrees based on a review of academic transcripts.

  • Applicants’ qualifications are reviewed on an individual basis, however, minimum requirements include a tertiary level Rehabilitation Counselling qualification. Applicants are required to provide RCAA with a copy of their academic transcript for consideration and review.
  • Applicants with non-tertiary qualifications are not accepted for RCAA membership.
  • Processing of applications may take up to two weeks, however this may vary.
